You qualify if you’re a Canadian resident with a family net income under $90,000/year and no dental insurance. You must have filed your previous year’s tax return with a Notice of Assessment.
Seniors (65+) can apply since December 2023; kids under 18 and DTC holders since June 2024. Other adults (18–64) can apply from May 2025, with coverage starting June 2025.
You’ll get a letter with your CDCP member ID and coverage details via mail or My Service Canada Account.
Coverage varies by service; CDCP pays a percentage based on the fee guide and your income.
Applications are submitted through the Government of Canada at canada.ca/dental or by calling 1-833-537-4342. Your dentist cannot apply on your behalf. Once approved, you will receive a CDCP member card — bring it to your appointment and we handle the billing.
